New Look shoppers are heaping praise on a pair of trousers that are a throwback to 90s fashion. Hailed by Vogue as a "key staple" for summer 2023, cargo pants have been trending again thanks to a number of designer brands.

And a high street pair for £29.99 have proved popular with shoppers - as being "so comfy". Fashion fans say the Cotton Cuffed Cargo Trousers from New Look go with everything to create either a casual or more dressed-up look.

As reported by Wales Online, the trousers have utility pockets for a trendy touch and a soft cotton finish. As well as your standard khaki colour, the trousers also come in black, dark grey, stone, mink and navy.

The Cotton Cuffed Cargo Trousers come in sizes from 6 to 22. And the trousers have a near-perfect 4.7 out of 5 rating on New Look's website.

Aimelou said: "These combat trousers fit like a glove and they are so comfortable will definitely be purchasing some more. Really happy with them."

Another shopper said: "These cargos are 10/10! I find it difficult to find trousers that look good and fit comfortably these days, so I always tend to wear the same old gym leggings. However, these are the comfiest cargos and they look great!

"They are also ideal for any occasion as they can be adapted to a range of styles. I’ve already worn mine multiple times and I only purchased them a week ago! Definitely my new favourite trousers!"

While Beth said: "Very comfortable and good fit. Nice material, feel like your wearing joggers, really comfy and wash amazing as well."

And a fourth customer added: "So comfortable I ordered them in the other colour. True to size I am a 10 and I am 5:6 the length was alright for me."

But not everyone was a fan of the 90s throwback trousers - adding that they were 'weird fit'. Maxichi said: "Sizing was super weird on these, I tried 3 different sizes and none of them fit right at all, legs were fine on 2 but was really weirdly fitting around the waist."

For alternative options, ASOS stocks Bershka's straight leg cargo trousers in khaki for £27.99. River Island's Khaki Belted Utility Cuffed Cargo Trousers are £42 and made from 100% cotton.

Fat Face's Hythe Cargo Trouser comes in two colours - black or green - and are £55. They have an elasticated cuff, slim fit leg and six pockets.
